Offering a variety of water sport equipment rentals for visitors all different ages and experience levels, the Key West-inspired Buena Vista Watersports facility features new Sea-Doo® Jet Skis, two- to three-seat kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and much more. Guests can take advantage of a complimentary lesson, as well as free beach access with each rental.

How old do you have to be to rent a jet ski?

You must be 18 years old to rent the jet ski, however, if a legal guardian is present and completes the rental documents, then they do permit you to drive at 16 years of age with a valid photo ID and their approval.

What do I need to rent a jet ski?

A valid photo ID that includes your birth date along with a credit card for a $500.00 HOLD per 2 jet skis rented for the duration of your jet ski experience. Examples of an ID include a driver’s license, passport, or government-issued identification card.

Do I have to have a license to rent a jet ski?

A Boater’s License is required for anyone born on January 1, 1988, or after. They offer the Florida Temporary Boating Certificate on-site to satisfy this requirement. The questionnaire is $3 and takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

What do I need to bring with me?

Bring a government-issued ID, credit card, or cash for the $250 refundable pre-authorization and purchases, a camera, towel, and sunscreen. Sunscreen, towels, waterproof phone cases, sunglasses, soft drinks, and ice cream are also available for purchase on-site.

I'm the only one jet skiing. Is there anything for my group to do?

If members of your group are not participating in the water sports activities, they will still have full access to the observation deck at the end of the dock and full use of the private beach to relax and catch some Florida rays!
